Tefnut Ancient Egyptian Jewel Treasures - Multistrand Necklace with Large Lotus Flower Pendant, Gold Plated Beads, Rock Crystal, Tourmaline

This stunning, multi strand choker necklace is inspired by ancient Egyptian Goddess of waters, Tefnut.
Its focal point is the sacred lotus symbol - a large statement 1970s vintage gold plated museum replica souvenir pendant from the first Tutankhamun exhibit.

Ancient Egyptians and Sumerians loved pairing gold with translucent rock crystal in their sculptures and jewelry!

To capture Tefnut’s divine light as well as give the necklace an Atlantean underwater feel, I paired large faceted rock crystal nuggets with large freshwater baroque pearls which have a combination of lustrous rainbow and distressed matte finish. Ancient treasures come with small imperfections that enhance their handcrafted creation and uniqueness.

A small contemporary twist added to the necklace which lends it a lightweight feel are the three slim strands made with Japanese 24k gold plated seed beads in round and hexagonal shape. The top strand holds three small faceted gemstone rondelles: blue aquamarine and yellow-green and pink tourmaline.

The necklace is farther made with gold plated coin beads, iridescent frosted glass beads, silver tone rhinestone filigree floral spacers, and a sturdy, moisture resistant gold tone looped hook clasp.
